I tried to sneak a “Babashka” Github Action into a project after a senior dev suggested that we don’t have to use bash for deployment scripts.
The good news is that I super, duper enjoyed writing a script in Clojure.
The bad news is that two other senior devs didn’t want to learn how to maintain it.
The silver lining is that Clojure is super easy to convert into JavaScript, which the rest of my team was happy to get on board with
I hope the lisp seed got planted in some people’s minds regardless
