I recognized that david wilson had a look at janet language. I like janet langauge because it’s small and useful. It doesn’t come with the complexity of scheme implementations.
I wrote these things because I became tired of limitations of i3pystatus. I couldn’t do what I wanted to do with i3blocks because the config language was INI file. I realized I needed the full power of a scripting language. Thus, I wrote j3blocks.
I’ve been using it for more than 6 months. It’s been stable so far.
