After running reboot --kexec I looks like nothing really happens and the computer just hangs without feedback (it doesn’t reboot or restart, it looks like it is off). I am looking for where can I see logs related to that, or if it is a known issue for others here.
could you maybe provide some additional context for us to help you? Like, are you trying to install Guix for the first time or is this something that just now happened?

The machine is a fairly new guix installation (amd64), most stuff have worked as expected, no further problems.
The story behind this one was that after some (guix) system restores the cli recommends running reboot --kexec which is basically a herd kexec root to restart the shepherd services. It is supposed to do the restarts without going through the whole bootloader process, and given I have disk encryption enabled, it comes very handy.
The result of running that is a blank screen, I have checked the machine is not running (or at least the network) by checking if the router gives an IP through DHCP (it is connected via ethernet). From what I can tell the reboot didn’t go through and left the machine in a half dead state.
Any information could be useful, also I would like to know if folks are running kexec without issues on their setup.
Thanks for the response! Yeah, reboot --kexec is just available after a guix system reconfigure, from what I have read that is what gets the kexec image loaded.
I will check on the mailing lists (I am new on theses spaces).
