Hello :waving_hand: I’m new in guix world. Can you recommend me some materials how to add rust packages to my system?

I’m still struggling with Guix myself, so I can only try to clarify your answer with a list of questions.

  • I assume that by cosmic de, you mean System96’s Cosmic DE as your preferred Desktop Environment?
  • What desktop environment are you using right now?
  • Are you trying to build packages and make them available?

I happen to be in the process of trying to create my own Guix channel, but I’m still very confused where to even begin.

I do know that once you have build your channel and built the cosmic DE packages, this is the place to advertise your work. And you can see there how others have created their packages.
Also, Codeberg seems to be the forge hosting site of choice here.

I also suggest you go to NixOS IRC chat to ask them how they have done it, as Guix was inspired by NixOS.
