Gptel or efrit tips & tricks?

Does anyone here regularly use gptel or efrit? If so, I’d be grateful for any tips and tricks to get started.

My short-/medium-term goal is to set up a multi-agent orchestration and task-management system with emacs as the driver.

In the meantime, I plan to start playing around with gptel and efrit for small projects to dial in my workflows and get comfortable with Guix System.

I’m currently installing Guix System in a VM on a macOS host and plan to do a bare-metal install on a Linux machine once I get comfortable with my configs. As an aside, there’s a developer-focused vibe coding event tonight, and I’m hoping to have my Guix dev environment set up before it starts :crossed_fingers:

There are a lot of thought-provoking comments in this HN thread about using gptel and emacs. I don’t have time to summarize them now but plan to get back to it later today/tomorrow.

From what I gather, emacs seems like the best of both worlds when it comes to leveraging GenAI tools from the CLI or in an IDE. I’m excited about unleashing the power of emacs and its flexibility/customizability.
