I’m asking because I want to limit my search for proprietary packages to the least amount of proprietary repositories as possible.
So far my preference is flatpak, because that’s the one I know.
I’m basically forced to choose nonguix, since I need it for kernel drivers. If not for that reason, I would probably choose flatpak since that seems to be the official place for
a) hard to build software (FreeCAD, Kicad, etc).
b) proprietary software
Full disclosure is that I haven’t ever used nix.
