I wonder if it’s a good alternative to denote or org-roam.
Hard to tell. I gave it a try, and it wasn’t a good experience for me.
- had to fix
supertag-ui-commands.elit was missing a closing)and had a number of flymake errors and warnings to cleanup. - Documentation seems to be incomplete. I didn’t spend much time grokking the source, but the documentation doesn’t give workflow commands; only the concepts of what a workflow could be. There are some interesting ideas here, but I couldn’t figure out how to use them.
I tried multiple ways to get properties attached to a supertag, but somehow that didn’t quite work for me. I tried editing a node using the supertag-view-node command, but the description of operations (Field: [RET] Edit Value…) didn’t seem to work. References did work, but I’m not sure how to use them. I was putting everything in one file, but perhaps I should have put them in separate files.
It should be noted I do not use org-roam, nor denote, so I’m pretty sure I’m missing something fundamental as I’m not familiar with how these kinds of tools should work. I also wonder why the author chose to add another syntax for a tag rather than enhancing the built-in Org tags.
Others may have a better experience, but denote seems simpler to use even if it doesn’t quite have some of the features of supertag (kanban board, etc).
