# Guix Audio Setup

I thought I would document my journey moving from NixOs to Guix. I am not a programmer, I just like messing about and learning things. This is part of my journey.

Today on my 14inch AMD laptop I will be following the install from iso instructions found on here, and also [Speeding up downloads: Faster or alternative download sources for installation (and pull)](https://forum.systemcrafters.net/t/speeding-up-downloads-faster-or-alternative-download-sources-for-installation-and-pull/1774)

From my experiences it takes forever otherwise. I’ll be using xfce and i3. I’m hoping I have learned enough to get fish working properly now.

this is not really related to your Audio Setup, right? Nevertheless: have you succeeded?
